Camilla Salghetti: Underwater Photography, Marine Wildlife and Travel

Underwater photography is at the centre of Camilla Salghetti’s visual work. Her images and videos are created in real diving and freediving environments, where movement, light, wildlife and safety all shape the final result.
Working with natural conditions
Underwater image-making depends on conditions that cannot be controlled in the same way as a studio. Light falls rapidly with depth, visibility changes, marine animals move unpredictably and every shot has to respect the limits of the dive. This is why Camilla’s approach begins with water skills before camera technique.
Marine wildlife
Her portfolio includes encounters with turtles, rays, sharks, groupers, octopus and other marine species. The priority is observation without forcing interaction, allowing the behaviour of the animal and the environment to lead the narrative.
Travel and destination storytelling
For tourism and hospitality projects, Camilla combines underwater sequences with the experience above the surface: boats, coastlines, local culture, dive preparation and responsible tourism. The result is content designed to communicate a destination rather than simply display it.
Technology as a tool, not the story
Cameras, housings, lights and underwater equipment are essential, but they remain tools. Her creator work focuses on what technology enables people to see and understand beneath the surface.
