Camilla Salghetti: Freediving, Scuba Diving and Underwater Storytelling
Published 14 September 2026 · Official website of Camilla Salghetti
For Camilla Salghetti, the underwater world is both a professional environment and a language for storytelling. Her work brings together freediving, scuba diving, underwater photography and environmental communication.
From competitive swimming to freediving
After fifteen years of competitive swimming, Camilla developed a practice in freediving built around calm, technique, body awareness and safety. Today she teaches freediving and creates educational and visual content designed to make underwater experiences more accessible and more responsible.
Freediving and scuba: two complementary perspectives
Freediving offers silence, breath control and an intimate relationship with depth. Scuba diving opens longer observation windows and makes it possible to document marine environments in a different way. Camilla works in both contexts, adapting her approach to the conditions, the subject and the story.
Underwater content with purpose
Her underwater work focuses on marine wildlife, training, travel, equipment and conservation. The aim is not only to create striking images, but to give context: how an encounter happens, why a habitat matters, and what responsible behaviour in the water looks like.
International projects
Camilla works on international creator projects, destination storytelling and brand collaborations linked to freediving, scuba, underwater technology, travel and ocean protection.
